WHAT FEEDING BOTTLE DO I USE?

Since my first daughter was born I have been using the brand of feeding bottle Dr. Brown’s because it prevents the baby from having leaks. I have never had a problem with it. They have them in glass and plastic either way is very helpful and also they have different colors like the regular which is white, blue, pink, orange, purple and pink. The colors may vary on the stores, there are stores that don’t have all the colors but others they do like Baby R Us. I really recommend this brand.

GERBER vs BEECHNUT-BABY FOOD PRODUCTS

Gerber and Beechnut are baby food products and both are very dispensable for the well-being of our babies but in my opinion between both products I will go for the Beechnut, I will tell you why in a few moments.

When I had my first baby, I was a first-time mother everything that had to do with a baby was a new world for me. You will always listen to other mother’s advice but for my first baby I decided to give her homemade food which is a very healthy way to start with but in my case I had a lot of hurry times that the easy way to feed her was using any baby food products.

With my first baby, the baby food product I used was brand Gerber. At the beginning I like it because it was very well crushed until my second daughter was born I decided to change the brand because I noticed that Beechnut was organic and had much flavors compare to Gerber, I think Gerber has ten different flavors but there is just one vegetable or fruit to try instead Beechnut you have three flavors in one bottle. Also, another thing I noticed is that my first daughter was skinny and my second daughter is fatty, I know every baby is different they will eat different amounts of food but I realized Beechnut baby products taste more delicious than Gerber.

Also when I went to the store at the beginning when my second daughter was born I also noticed that Gerber presentation changed, it used to be glass and now is plastic, it is okay that they changed the presentation of their product by the baby safety but as a mom is it more healthy feeding the baby from a glass bottle than plastic. Another thing is that after you feed the baby with Gerber and wash their clothes the spot still there while with Beechnut it disappears completely.

Those are my reasons why I changed brand and I hope it will help you.

HARD REMOVING YOUR CHILDREN PACIFIER ? HERE'S HOW I DID IT

For many mothers to remove our baby’s pacifier is a difficult struggle because without it our babies they can’t sleep very well and they may cry or woke up in the middle of the night for it. That’s why I want to share my story with you on how I did it. At the beginning I started to frustrated myself because people they always want to give their opinions or they judge you in certain ways but I always try to ignore them because at the end I am the one who knows how I struggle with my daughters.

I didn’t accomplish it at the beginning; it will always take their time to know that they don’t have the pacifier with them anymore. I get rid of it this year, my daughter is two years old and the first attempt was to only gave her the pacifier when she went to sleep, it could be during nap time or her regular sleeping hours but sometimes she missed it and started to cry.

After many attempts, one morning she woke up and I noticed she was having a mouth sore, I started gave her medication and I decided to tell her that having the pacifier was a big problem for her mouth that there is an age that she needs to say goodbye to it because she was growing up into a big girl. Without any problem she understood the message I told her and since then she didn’t want it anymore, she even didn’t cry and now she sleeps very well without.

Mommies don’t frustrate yourself you will know the perfect time to remove your baby’s pacifier, be patient with them and with you.

WHO I AM ..

Hello, welcome to A Lovely Mess in this blog I will post about tips from my daughter’s experiences, easy recipes to make, DIY tutorials and more. Let me introduce myself, my name is Karla, I am 22 years old and my story began when I got pregnant of my first daughter named Kaitlyn during my sophomore year of University, when I noticed I was pregnant my mind was full of many things thinking about how my parents will react, my husband’s parents, if I was still going to school, etc. Now, I can say I am a very blessed person because by the time passed by everything started to be in order. My parents reacted like never before also my husband’s parents. Then, during my junior year I got pregnant of my second daughter named Renee now I am attending my last senior year of University which I am very excited because some day I will say all the ups & downs were worth it.

In general, my life has been filled with many ups and downs but I do not regret about anything because at the end I think what would be of my life if I did not get pregnant, my personality change a lot I grew mentally by being more mature, before I was pregnant my relationship with my mom was very far apart and now we are very close because I understand her better. In fact, nothing has change because I am still a student but compare to others there is not a perfect life and the time heals all.

The other day I was looking through Facebook and I found an image that caught my attention. The image had a message that said: Someone graduated at age 22 and got a job at 27; someone graduated at age 27 and already had a job. There is someone who is still single and has a son, some who married had to wait 10 years to be parents. There are those who have a partner and love another, there are those who have mutual love and there are nothing, and some are looking love. Everything works according to our watch: People can only live at their own pace. It may seem that your friends are ahead or that they are behind; but they are in their moment and you in yours. Live with patience, be strong and believe in yourself; you are not late, you are not early… you are in your time.

I really felt this message because my life has been a mess with love, my daughters are my world and I would not change anything.  Be patient with yourself and fulfill your dreams, never give up.
